During this discovery tour of Peru in 15 days, our agency offers you a trip to Peru that will take you to the major sites of Peru's history, such as Machu Picchu, or to contemplate natural wonders like the Colca Canyon and Lake Titicaca. Your trip to Peru includes the great cities of pre-Columbian history, Cuzco, Ollantaytambo, Pisac, as well as the beautiful cities with colonial architecture like Arequipa and of course the famous Nazca petroglyphs. Your eyes will not soon forget your trip to Peru organized by the travel agency Alpa-k.
Your itinerary at a glance:
Day 1: Arrival in Lima lunch included 4 h 1h
Start of Alpa-k services at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima.
Transfer to a hotel in the quiet Miraflores neighborhood for your first day of travel in Peru. Meal followed by rest.
Day 2: Paracas Reserve
Head south by
the Pan-American Highway to Paracas. Our travel agency will take you to the
reserve where we can observe the spectacular landscape of the cliffs by the
ocean. This will also be your first opportunity during your trip to Peru to
taste excellent Ceviche in the small fishing port of Lagunillas.
Afternoon free in Paracas by the ocean.
Day 3: Ballestas Islands - Ica - Nazca

Excursion en bateau
jusqu'aux îles Ballestas afin d'y observer des lions de mer et de nombreuses

Puis repas dans un restaurant typique à Ica, chez un
producteur de pisco la boisson nationale péruvienne. Petite balade à la Huacachina
et ses dunes de sable, oasis en plein désert.
Déplacement jusqu' à Nazca.
Day 4: Nazca and surroundings, road to Arequipa

Pour les personnes ne désirant pas effectuer ce vol,
excursion au cimetière de Chauchilla et visite du musée d'archéologie. Après le
repas de midi, route en direction d'Arequipa. Arrivée en fin de soirée.
Day 5: Arequipa

AR-SA">Tour de ville et visite des principaux monuments coloniaux ainsi que du
grand marché. Puis visite du monastère Santa Catalina. Après-midi libre en
ville.
Jour 6 : Arequipa-Colca

AR-SA">Route en direction du canyon de Colca et le village de Yanke. En route
nous pourrons observer des vigognes, ainsi que des lamas et des alpaguas. A
Chivay, possibilité de se rendre aux bains thermaux. Acclimatation à
l'altitude.
Day 7: Colca and road to Puno

Get up
at dawn to go to the place called "La Cruz del Condor" to
watch condors. Visit typical villages in this fantastic
canyon and its terraced farms. Then road towards Puno on the
shore of Lake Titicaca. On the way, possibility to observe flamingos.
Day 8: Lake Titicaca
4 h
Two-day excursion
on the islands of Lake Titicaca. Passing through the floating
Uros islands. Then boat to Amantani Island where we will stay with
the locals. (Amantani Island has no cars or electricity). Walk to the
top of the island where the remains of a temple from the Tiwanaku civilization are located.

Day 9: Taquile Island and Puno

This
morning we will take the boat to the neighboring island of Taquile, known for its
renowned weavers. After lunch, we will return to Puno where we
will spend the night.
Day 10: Pukara, Raqchi and Andahuaylillas
4 h
Bus
from Puno to Cuzco through stunning landscapes, with some visits along
the way. First stop in Pukara to visit a small regional museum, then
Raqchi and its interesting ruins. And finally, highlight of this day, stop
in the small village of Andahuaylillas and its church also called the chapel
Sistine of the Andes. Arrival in the Inca capital at the end of the day.
Day 11: Cuzco

Guided
tour of Cuzco including the Koricancha (or temple of the sun). In the afternoon,
visit to nearby sites, Kenko, Tambo Machay, Puka Pukara and Saqsaywaman.
Days 12: The Sacred Valley and route to Machu Picchu

Day
in the Sacred Valley. Stroll through the ruins of the village of Pisac and visit
the village market. Continue through the Sacred Valley and move towards the village
of Ollantaytambo where we will visit this impressive Inca ruin. Train to Machu
Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes).
Day 13: Machu Picchu

Early
rise to visit the Machu Picchu site. Optional walk on the
Huayna Picchu mountain or to the drawbridge. Night at Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Day 14: Maras Salt Flats and Moray Agricultural Site
4 h
Train
to Ollantaytambo. Visit to the open-air salt flats of Maras followed by a visit to the
Inca agricultural site of Moray. Stop at the typical village of Chinchero and then
return to Cuzco.
Day 15: Flight to Lima then international flight
4 h
Internal
flight from Cuzco to Lima. International flight to Europe at the end of the day.
